Registration is Complete!

We were able to get our registration in by the deadline tonight! It was a close call because we were working so hard to make our Team Logo be the most representative of our group as possible.

Here is what we came up with!

We decided to follow along with NASA tradition and make our own space mission patch. At the bottom we have a human hand shaking hands with a LEGO Robot hand, signifying the connection between these two worlds, with the Earth as a background. On top of that we have the United States of America flag and Hawaiian flag because we are from the state of Hawaii. Above that we have the "Discovery" sailboat which signifies navigation, something important to both the State of Hawaii and also to space exploration, (and also directly ties in with our project theme, which will be revealed in a later post!) sailing in the night sky with a telescope looking at the stars and the moon. The crescent moon is made complete with the addition of our "dome", more details to follow in future posts! Our image is enclosed by two olive branches which can be traced back to ancient Greece as the symbol of global peace. Surrounding our patch design are the names of our team members and our team name!
Next step in our project timeline- research for Video Essay and Robot Design!
A hui hou!

Love the logo--especially since it was hand-drawn and not computer generated.

The team worked long and hard to make this logo and narrowed down from many many many unique and original ideas! This was the one we felt like best represented all of our ideas and what our project stood for!

Since this is a technology project we are currently working on a digital version of the logo which will hopefully look more like an original NASA space mission patch! :)

Check back, once we have the digital version of the logo complete we will post it here!!

Thank you!!

Maybe we should make real patches with this logo?
